ABOUT EXHIBITION
The presentation in Art Agenda Nova is a screening of recording video performance by Julian Tomaszuk and Łukasz Bobrzyński and the object being the final result of the joint action.
The original intention of the artists was to perform and register the operation-operation in the gallery space and thereby sanction its other dimension, but for technical and medical reasons it proved impossible. The action took place in a doctor’s office, while the gallery presents her video recording, a 15-minute film, a reportage character, which is an abbreviation of one-hour operation.
The video is accompanied by a display of the object – lipoma, which was dissected from the body of a sculptor by a surgeon. The benign tumor as a result of this action ended its existence in formalin, in a picturesque jar “from wild boar. pate “.
The idea behind the venture was to equalize roles, reverse the relationship, and show the situation in which the artist is the material, and the creator and the real creator is the surgeon.
