Justyna Scheuring


Justyna Scheuring creates installations, objects, photographs, performance and poetry; he works with the subject, word and his own presence. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań in 2001, and earlier the College of Applied Arts in Poznań.

On the latest project Fri “PARTISAN”, which will be shown on the 10th of May 2006 at Galeria Nova in Krakow:

“* The guerilla is an irregular war conducted at the rear of the enemy, usually by the armed forces of the conquered country against the invader (after the Dictionary of foreign words PWN).

* I am looking for a word for disability, which is not a weakness; for disability, which is a natural state, active and contained in itself; for such imperfections, which itself forms, extracts and activates without becoming an invasive form. This weakness does not occur in the opposition, it is separate and open.

* Among the hungry beings, the words “newcomer” and “enemy” mean the same (from Kabbalah, “32 emanation path” by Bill Heidrick).
