There will be works by members of the Krakow Group: Teresa Rudowicz, Kazimierz Mikulski, Jerzy Nowosielski and Jadwiga Sawicka, who studied in the studio of prof. Nowosielski at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts. Noteworthy is Paweł Althamer’s facility and a lithographies by Mirosław Bałka from the Edition Copenhagen portfolio.
The works of the members of the famous Ładnie group will be auctioned: an unusual work by Marcin Maciejowski – a mural from the „Piękny Pies” club, an early graphic of Rafał Bujnowski, as well as a notebook with drawings by Wilhelm Sasnal.
The accent of critical art at our auction will be the cycle of Katarzyna Górna’s photographs and the objects of Łukasz Surowiec, an artist nominated this year for the „Polityka Passports” award and the finalist of the „Spojrzenia” competition organized by Deutsche Bank and the Zachęta National Art Gallery. Sculpture collectors will certainly be interested in the work of Alicja Żebrowska. At the auction you will also find two paintings by Norman Leto, the creator of the well-known film „Photon” and the laureate of the „Polityka Passport” in the category of visual arts.
Among the works available at the auction are also recognized creators associated with the Penerstwo group in Poznań: Magdalena Starska and Wojciech Bąkowski. The younger generation is represented by artists born in the 80s like Natalia Bażowska, Xawery Deskur Wolski, Andrzej Żygadło, Radek Szlaga, Tomek Kowalski, Agnieszka Polska and Bartosz Kokosiński – multiple winner of the first place in the Compass of Young Art ranking.
The second edition of the Galician Contemporary Art Auction is also an opportunity to acquire images of the best artists associated with the street art trend, such as Sławek ZBIOK Czajkowski, Chazme or Sepe.
