ABOUT EXHIBITION

Gabi Buzek presents the author’s portrait of several fashionable Krakow clubs. She is interested in places with a similar style and atmosphere, each of which, however, retains a distinctive, original character.
They are connected by what is elusive to the eye – atmosphere, specific emotion – and what can be captured with the lens: color, light, style of decoration, geometric pattern of the interior in two dimensions. One goes into the other – the image of colors and lines gives us a hunch of the mood prevailing there.

The clientele is also similar – young people expecting a combination of modernity and intimacy. The model, wandering with the Artist through photographed places, is another link between individual worlds, each of which reveals a different side of personality in the heroine. And just as a woman has many faces, the same spirit appears in various places of the „bar” of Kraków – in many aspects.

The series of photographs comprising the exhibition in the nova gallery includes over 40 of the latest photos of a young photographer, currently on a scholarship in the USA.
